British Council and Hrvatsko društvo skladatelja - ZAMP have pleasure in inviting you to the concert of the music education project 'Letter to a Friend'. The concert will take place at the Vatroslav Lisinski Concet Hall on Sunday, 25 May at 7.30 pm.
The concert crowns the year-long project involving the British composer Bill Connor, students from ten schools in Zagreb, their teachers and choir leaders who jointly created text and music on the topic of letters and friendship. To put it in words of Bill Connor:
"A letter to anyone from anyone…from any time to any time and for any purpose…maybe from the past to the future, the present to the past or the future….a warning, a greeting, lost love, new love, to family and friends, a letter of fact, a brush with history…..this is Letter to a Friend; a creative music project with schools and young musicians and choirs in Zagreb the focus being on communal creativity..."
